SUMMARY:British Diving Championships 2019
DESCRIPTION:British Diving Championships 2019 Review  \nA team of 9 divers from Plymouth have just returned from competing at the British Diving Championships held in Edinburgh\, where they were up against some formidable competitors.  It is a tough competition and the biggest domestic diving event of the year. \nKayleigh Sinclair qualified for the women’s 1m and 3m final; finishing 6th overall on both boards.  Shanice Lobb qualified for the women’s 10m event also finishing in 6th position.  Cody Powell-Tuckett was short of less than 10 points to qualify for the final and finished in 12th on the 10m board. \nIn the women’s 3m synchro competition Sinclair and teammate Summer Radcliffe won the bronze medal.  Euan McCabe and Robbie Lee (from Southampton) also claimed the bronze medal in the men’s section. \nThe women’s 10m synchro saw Emily Martin and Phoebe Banks (from Leeds) win the gold – continuing their successful pairing.  They also won gold earlier this year on the Fina Grand Prix circuit in California. Not to be outdone\, Matthew Dixon and Noah Williams (from London) also secured the gold for the men. \nAll of the men from Plymouth qualified for the 10m final.  McCabe and Aidan Heslop unfortunately had to withdraw from the final.  Alfie Brown just missed out on a podium spot in 4th.  Dixon gained the bronze in an intense final\, full of amazing dives. \nThe divers train at the Plymouth Life Centre and are either coached by Alex Rochas\, Sally Freeman or Claire Burton.
