Programme Overview

Here, we describe the basic structure of the programme, what groups there are and how divers can progress from one to the other.

It is important that Parents understand that divers do not progress purely by virtue of being enrolled in a course.  At all levels, divers must be able to perform the required skills to an appropriate standard, on a consistent basis, not just on a one off.

This is because diving is a progressive sport and in order to learn the next more complicated skill, divers must be able to perform the earlier, more simple skill with adequate technical competence to ensure they are physically capable of performing the next stage safely and confidently (the walk before you can run philosophy!).
