(in her own words)
I am on the Elite National Junior team at Plymouth Diving
I have been diving for 12 years and still going!
My earliest diving memory would be jumping off the 3m in Brasschaat (Belgium) instead of watching my older brother competing.
My older brother Andrew was a strong influence on me starting diving. I officially started when I was five and my first competition was the white rose novice in 1997 which I won! I guess that's when the diving bug really got me.
I have successfully competed in friendly internationals like Barcelona and Brasschaat and attended 6 National Age Groups (now Elite Juniors) winning gold in the synchronised 1m in 2001.
I am still attending Elite Junior Nationals and have managed to perform a 10m list for the past year. Although I have the problem of being tall, which doesn’t help me spin fast I have still managed to finish up in top six at the last two nationals.
The best part of my diving? Must be my rip, I can get a good entry, which I think runs in the family as my brother was renowned for his.
My aims for the future would be to carry on diving to the best of my ability, carry on coaching diving and enjoying the sport.
