The Life Centre

Still based on Mayflower Drive, the new centre will now deliver the ever successful Plymouth Diving Training Scheme where divers can join the programme as a beginner diver in the Diving 1 class and work through levels Diving 2-4 where they can join the Plymouth Diving Club. These diving classes are joined through Everyone Active at the reception at the Life Centre.

Following on from Diving 4, or by fast-track, divers can be invited to join one of the training squads – Weenies, Novice, Age Group, D, C, B & A squads. This is done through a recommendation from the previous teacher.

Every year a Schools Talent Search is conducted where new divers are selected and invited to join a Talent Squad. Divers may also be invited to join this group from Diving 1-4 at the discretion of the Diving Manager at the Life Centre.

1:1 and 2:1 lessons can be booked by email, 2 days before the class and are taken on a first come first served basis. These lessons are available Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri and Sat.

Parents are invited to join the Friends of Plymouth Divers group to be a part of raising money to offset costs for travelling to competitions.

Plymouth Diving has a new home…

The life centre on it's opening day

Plymouth Diving has a new home… the brand new, state of the art Plymouth Life Centre.

In 1992 the diving training scheme was set-up by Andy Banks and he and Sam Grevett (nee Lewis) built the diving team over the years until 2007 when Sam emigrated to Australia and Sally Freeman took over.

In 2012 came the news that the training scheme could finally move into the Plymouth Life Centre and build on its’ success.
